About

R.A.W. Kidz Childcare Ministry is a spirited, creative Childcare Ministry service aimed at establishing a firm foundation for our children as individuals. R.A.W. Kidz has been created to provide an enriched environment for early age children. At R.A.W. Kidz we will assist developing characteristics which will develop their lifelong journey of learning. It is our goal that our program benefits their intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of the children.

At R.A.W. Kidz we recognize the importance of forming a partnership with the parents to create a positive experience for all children. We build relationships with children and families through dialogue, understanding, and interactive experiences. We promote parent participation in the classroom. This provides opportunities for parents to observe their child’s behavior in a formal learning environment and supports the continued learning in the home.

Play is essential in developing the cognitive skills of children. We understand children’s play and the teacher’s role in guiding and facilitating cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through play. We are committed to guiding children through teacher-planned, child-initiated activities based on children’s interests.  These activities will enhance children’s skills in all areas of development.

The role of the adults in the environment is to reflect the philosophy of the program.  They provide nurturance, guidance, and experiences to maximize children’s total development. Our educators will have proper training and will participate in additional training throughout the yearly. Our educators will be patient with the children and encourage them to be the best that they can be.

Our goal is to provide an environment that is positive, safe, accessible, interesting, child-centered, and reflective of diversity. We will create an awareness and road map for individual leaders with positive reinforcement. Our other goals include but are not limited to:

  • To identify and support the optimal development of each child.
  • To increase the parents’ understanding and knowledge of child growth and development.
  • To increase the participation and involvement of the parents and the community.
  • To provide a wide range of developmentally appropriate experiences.
  • To develop each child’s sense of self-worth.
  • To provide daily opportunities for development of good health.
  • To develop creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • To help children learn how to handle their own emotions and consider the feelings of others.
  • To integrate multicultural/ anti-biases into all areas of the curriculum.
  • To concentrate our efforts and resources toward student readiness and school success.
